Options question on new X3 M 35d
Hi all,
I'm currently looking into changing my 4 GC to an X3 35d, as i need more space and i want a higher car as the 4 GC is beautiful but because of an accident my back is killing me getting in and out of the car. I've specced the M sport package with the 19" wheels, carbon black, sattelbraun nevada leather, Harman Kardon, pano sunroof, adaptive led headlights, driving assistance plus and speed limit, lane change, comfort access, connected drive, ... Basically a fully loaded car but i was wondering if you guys had any options that you took and were somehow disappointed in or are there any options that you regret in speccing? Any advice is more than welcome as i might need to trim down just a little bit as i'm slightly above budget. Thanks in advance for your remarks and suggestions! |

I would sacrifice the panoramic sunroof if above budget. The damn things always end up leaking after few years.
Xenon adaptive lights and uprated surround systems give more to the driving pleasure imo |

Get variable damper control , it makes a huge difference ! Panoramic sun Roof and LED lights also are things which make the car such a pleasure to own rather than just "something" to drive .

The lighting package gives you adaptive headlights even without LED.
I had a loaner last week of a 3 series with the sports seats. First time I've driven in a car with them (I didn't test drive them in my X3). Felt comfortable. At least in the 3 hour drives I did in the loaner. Surround view is nice in tight places, like the garage. |

Reversing camera is good option I'd add, never had one before , never thought I wanted it. Now it would be top of list. |

I wish I'd upgraded the speakers... Std set up is a bit lacking in my opinion.
I have adaptive led's and would definately spec again, pro nav worth it too. I also have HUD which is superb as you also get sat NAV directions on it too |

Keep the sunroof, it is great in the summer months. Also make sure you have adaptive headlights with High Beam Assist (HBA). The Pro Sat Nav is a must, but I think this comes as standard on the 30d and 35d. I have the 19" wheels on Run Flats and do not find it uncomfortable on the back.

Thanks to all of you who gave very valuable feedback! I really appreciate it!
Basically i'll keep my configuration and go for the adaptive damping and just work some more to pay the damn car as it is |
