Exclamation Oil Sensor replacement question.

I'm suspecting my oil sensor might be faulty since it keeps showing low oil level(longer trips - currently showed at 4K miles). When adding 1/2 quart it will start showing at max.

The sensor itself is plug and play but not sure if something else needs to be done on the computer for the sensor to be recognized?

The oil sensor is plug and play no need for coding or anything. Be sure to buy a genuine BMW oil level sensor I bought a aftermarket one and it didn't work straight out of the box wasted me $50 on new oil.

Hella is the OE manufacture for BMW oil level sensor I think this should do the job. But always compare parts number on realoem first before you buy.

Forgot to mention if you have a error code for oil level sensor you might need a scan tool to clear the code first.

Interesting website thanks!

BMW gave me the serial#12618608779 which cross-reference with newest serial# 12617638341.
