Ya costco is seriously the best for warranty and free rotations. I actually just picked these up for $900 yesterday off usedvic for our winter set!

I saw Bridgestone is going to have a $100 rebate (which costco applies automatically which is nice) end of march so i'll pick up some Potenza S04s for the summer.

Nice! Those look great. Are you looking into doing any coding changes? I am on the verge of jumping on that band wagon as well.

Possibly. What are you going to do?

I need to figure a couple things out first like those leaky rear struts, the small coolant leak and for some reason our mirror fold button does nothing...

I was thinking the following:

1. Macro camera capability when the hitch is installed
2. Leaving seat heating to last known position
3. Folding the mirrors when the car is locked

That was just to start. The cable is only $30 from Amazon and the laptop side I have covered as well. Should be fun!

These are great!! Can't wait to give this a go.

Maybe the cable is $30 because I'm ordering from Amazon.ca.

Anyland, I can't recommend Chapman's Motors enough on Cloverdale

Just got her back from the shop and managed to get her rear brakes done for $425 all in. They let me provide the parts.

Bought Brembo Coated Rotors + rear wear sensor from Rock Auto for $190 shipped, Akebono Ceramic pads off amazon for $95 shipped and got the indy to install for $140.

Next up i'm looking at Michelin Pilot Sport All season 4s. Thinking all seasons now because of the better treadwear warranty from costco.

Ya they are a great shop, I supplied all the brake parts and the coolant tank. Super good service. I had quotes of like $250 for the coolant tank labour from other places, Chapman said it took 20 minutes and charged me $40.

EDIT: Oh I forgot to mention that they also discovered the dreaded oil pan leak starting. At this point it is just sweating so I will leave it for now. A bit bummed that the PPI missed it - but oh well. They said $1100 for the job when the time comes which I think is very reasonable.

Yup haha, gotta keep her safe with good brakes and tires!

Also if you haven't ordered your tires yet. Michelin's will have a $100 rebate starting April 5th which costco will automatically apply!

Hey folks,

New to the forum Just wanted to get your feedback. Any advice is appreciated in advance.

I'm looking at buying a 2013 X3 35i M Sport in AW with 75000K KMs (46k miles) for $22k CAD.

We have been looking for about 5 months now and think we've found the right one. It's a private sale exceptionally clean, no exterior or interior wear besides some curb rash on the rims. Pretty much looks like a new car. One small rear collision claim for $1300 CAD

We are taking it for a PPI tomorrow morning to check for oil leaks. Water pump was recently replaced.

The car is mainly for my partner. My main concern is future maintenance issues. I own an RX8 R3 rotary though so things breaking really isn't new to me - more worried about her worrying if something breaks.

Here is the list of issues that i'm preparing for. Just wondering if you all have any insights on the prevalence of the issues and whether i missed anything from my list.

Oil Filter Housing Gasket $500
Oil Pan Gasket $1500 - $2000
Valve Cover Gasket ~$500
Coolant/Water Pump || Thermostat/Coolant Reservoir $2000
VANOS solenoid
LED Tail Lights (easy fix)

Anyone want to weigh in on if I should buy it/what to look out for? Thanks so much!!!

Congrats I have the 2013 X3 35i M Sport and its over 100K miles still love it for its handling and speed ... even with all the newer models still love this car. As far as oil leaks i had to have one replaced about 3 months ago they had to replace the hose bc it had a hole in it ie why it was leaking and creating a burning smell inside my car. outside of normal maintenance ie brakes tires mine has performed exceptionally

Hey that's great to hear you are at 100K miles without any major problems. Thanks for sharing. I hope it'll be as smooth sailing for us!

Any tips or tricks for the car? We are still really getting used to it! It's so weird having all these features. The seat customization alone was nuts haha. Still trying to figure out iDrive.
