I've been thinking about an M3 sedan. Do you have any regrets going to X3?

As an aside, I have always admined the X5M. But, although it does 0-60 in 4.5 secs, it eats gas, costs about twice what my X3 cost and offers little extra passenger/cargo room. So, the 35i MSport looks about as good (imo), uses far less fuel, costs about 1/2 an X5M and is 1000 pounds lighter. What's not to like? Oh, and like the real "M" cars, it has the beefy steering wheel that feels so good in your hands. And now, that wheel is heated for winter.

I think the X3, configured properly, is a real winner..!!
Thank you for this comment. I've been crazy about X5M since I test drove it. But the cost, MPG is not practical for me. I'm driving myself crazy trying to make the numbers work for X5M. It would really be pushing me from a budget/sacrifice standpoint.

I've been on the sidelines with X3 concerned if I would be truly happy coming from 2005 4.4 and 2007 4.8 X5's.

Your statement makes me want to jump in! Just concerned I'll be wanting X3M when it comes out!

The Red Brown does not look THAT red physically =P.

Anyone else have noticed this on your car?
This is common for BMW cars. It is the same on my 335i and my previous 540i. Much harder to close than the Japanese cars that I have owned.

TN_3 - that is great scenery, and very good photos. Jealous that you got the Pirelli tires though.

Excuse my ignorance but what is the dead pedal? - if it is the foot rest then it is plain black with no M logo

Yes, it's the foot rest. Not really a pedal at all, unless anything rectangular on the driver's side floor is a pedal.

This look NOTHING like the actual carbon black in real life.... this just looks like black sapphire.... carbon black has a very dark blue hue.... looks very nice =D

Hi IHS, I am going to order the 35D with all the extras in red with the Beige Leather, what do you think of this?. How is the Red standing up to general muck ect please. I have the 550i M sport (2011) at the moment, nice car but come winter stays in the garage, so got to go.
How is the performance?, I hope the new 313BHP diesel will fly.
