Turbo whistle #'$&!!!

My 2011 35i has developed a strong turbo whistle that's driving me crazy. It started at roughly 10k kms, ( x3 has 12k now).

Prior to this, even when I gunned it from a dead stop there was no noticeable whistle or whine, now it's unmistakeable, and annoying as hell.

Anyone else have this start after a certain amount of mileage?

yep mine after about 2000kms. I love it though, it even got louder when JB4 was installed

Yes, pretty loud too. I've got 5,400 miles on it.

Uh, this sucks. My 2010 335i didn't have turbo noise at all.

JB4 in your X3? As in N55 Stage 2? I thought due to DME compatibility issues there is no Stage 2 for the X3 and Stage 1 is all we can do...see text in red: http://www.burgertuning.com/N55_Stage2_Jb4.html

Either way, how's the performance?
