Need some help activating led drl.. 2017 LCI halogen retrofit to oem xenon headlights
Hey my fellow f25’r.
Has anyone retrofitted halogen to oem xenon headlights on a Lci f25 x3? I have a 17 BMW X3 f25. It came with stock halogen headlights. I acquired a pair of oem xenon headlights and have completed the rewiring to my plug in order to work with the xenon headlights. This is what was done.. I Added additional ground wire to pin#4 and 7. And then I tap 4&7 to #2. And then I moved pin 12 (green/blk) parking lights to #8. And moved #6 (high beam) to #9 So my local coding guy have started the recoding on my vehicle to accept the xenon headlights. We were able to get the turn signals and low beam (xenon) to work. No errror/warning code. As for the ae drl we are having issue activating them. And for the high beam shutter I didn’t really care for it so it is not activated. ANY HELP FOR THE LED DRL!?? Here are some pics of the car, lights and rewiring. |

Unfortunately they guy who was helping me, he could not get ahold of his coder. That guy is dealing with some family covid issues. So I’m sort of stuck at the moment trying to figure out the ae drl coding myself. And from what I was told it is a coding issue. The rewiring is done correctly as it mirror to the guy that helped me with the retrofit. |

Do you have adaptive headlight or not? because they run on different signals. DRL for adaptive uses KCAN3 and non Adaptive uses VCC_TMS signal and LM_LIN_1 for DRL.
