2011 X3 35i P2421 code

P2421- Evaporative Emission system - vent valve stuck open. I got this code shortly after fuel tank fillup - may have over filled.
I cannot find a repair procedure for this? How to access the vent system - is it behind the right rear cargo panel? What part is the likely culprit - vent pipe, leak diagnosis pump or activated charcoal filter?

I heard overfilling a modern vehicle can cause expensive repairs to the emission venting system. When filling up and the gas nozzle auto-stops, I don't try to top it off past that.
