Where are all the 2017 35i Msport's?

All I see in the entire US with 40,000 miles or less are mostly 28i's. At this point I've waited long enough for one to show certified and it looks doubtful. I think I'll have to order a new one. I really like my 2012. It's very comfortable. The new M40i's are nice also but I still prefer the F25.

I'm surprised you prefer the F25....I have a 2016 35i and a 2018 M40i...entirely different vehicles with the M40i being far and away the better vehicle in every respect.

That being said, there are plenty of '17 35i's though they are getting fewer with sub 40k miles...and even fewer going for a reasonable price.

I had a hard time finding a 35i Msport too. I feel like they made more preface 35’s, my brother has a n20 power 2016 Msport. We had a hard time finding a 35 for him too so he settled for the 4cyl.

Simple reason is that most dealers did not order many 35i's to sit on the lot, mainly due to the cost and based on previous sales they knew they would sell more 28i's anyway. So most who wanted a 2017 X3 35i brand new had to order it special. Now that those X3s are 3-4 yrs old, few of them are for sale and even fewer are under 40k miles. Good luck.

In general the SAV market is dominated by people who place a lower priority on engine power. The 35i is a bit of an oddity in that you can get the 28i (or in Europe diesel options) or take a jump for even more performance to an M model SUV, albeit the F25 did not see an X3M.

Anyway the lower price point of the SUVs without m sport options and a larger engine was likely more popular in general. By comparison the 2/3/4 series has plenty of enthusiasts and people modding, it seems as far as SAVs go the X5 is the vehicle of choice for those owners. The F25 ends up in an odd spot in the middle where most owners either prefer the smaller engines, went for the better price point, of didn't care for the larger engine.

There are plenty if 35is out there, they are just a much smaller segment, especially those with M sport

There are a boatload of 28i's up here on the road. I had to order mine since I wanted certain options and the dealers had some of the options that I wanted but not all. That said, I am being particular about looking for a 2017 model. I want just about every option and my color choices are few. So given that, I understand the obstacles that I'm facing. I had found a few but there was always something that I didn't feel was right and thought there will be more. I see there are some 2017's that fit my desires but they are at least 1000 miles from me so that's out. I think my time has run out though. I happen to like the F25 because I 'fit' in it well. I think it's very comfortable. I'm going to order a 2021 M40i with non-ventilated seats very soon and hope I can be as comfortable in it as I am in mine. I've driven it. It's nice. I've also read about the seat comfort not being ideal. Hopefully I get used to it.
