I'm thinking, they can keep my 28i and i'll keep the 35i

I really love the sports steering wheel, I'm sure I can get that retrofitted, right??? now, I'm thinking I should've opted for a 35i...what a difference!!!
Oh man, you're never going to want to give the 35 back! I thought I liked the 28i until I test drove the 35i. Once I did, it was all over. Had to have the 35i. The difference really is huge. Love my 35i!

Yah, it's going to be hard for sure!
Just got a call from my service advisor and informed me that they will be replacing the whole instrument cluster since the one I have keeps on loosing it's memory and fail.
...I'll have to let go of the 35i loaner tomorrow

Update...

I finally got my 28i back yesterday! The whole instrument cluster has been replaced with a new unit so hopefully this will never happen again.

On a sidenote, after having the 35i for almost a whole week going back to a 28i seems somewhat dissappointing...I never like to have regrets on getting the 28 but now tasting the acceleration, engine sound, sports steering wheel, and very noticable suspension/handling upgrade...made me loose sleep on thinking of just adding an extra $3000+, I could have had a base 35i(already come with corona/xenon heads) with sunroof rather than getting a 28 with premium package.

I really love the sports steering wheel, so I had it priced out but it'll cost $2000+ for the part alone ...I wish some 3rd party would design a sports steering wheel that would work with the stock airbag, so no need to change the airbag since it cost $1000 by itself.

I didn't think it would be such a big difference driving a 35i but man, I can't stop thinking about it...wonder how much I would loose out if I trade my 28 for a 35???

Why don't you try selling the 28 outright and if it works out it was meant to be. I think you're going to lose your butt on a trade in but the dealer will make out BIG TIME.

You can ask, but my guess is that you will get skinned pretty badly, the 28i is a used car now.
