Brake Fluid Reservoir - How to remove the Mesh?

Anyone removed that mesh without breaking stuff? If yes, how?
I tried several times, thought there might some guide channels but no luck.
Tried to pry it out, but it always slipped. There must be a "smart" way without breaking that thing. If anyone could point me in the right direction, that would be awesome.
Thanks gang

It just pulls out, but it pulls out hard. Best to grab each side with needle nose pliers and give a good solid quick pull, but one set of pliers will do. You'll have small marks from the pliers, but it will work fine.
