Bridgestone DriveGuard 235/55RF18 on sale for $132!

Hi all,

Amazon currently has the Bridgestone DriveGuard on sale for $133 each in the 235/55RF18 size:

https://smile.amazon.com/Bridgestone.../dp/B01LWMY173

This is 2% larger circumference than the stock size of 245/50RF18, but they fit just fine. (We have a set in this size on my wife's F25 X3 28d right now.)

If you are a run-flat hater, these will likely change your mind. They are the best-riding run-flat tire on the market. (They were designed as replacement tires for cars that don't have run-flats from the factory.) I've run several sets of these on various vehicles, with nothing but outstanding results.

Even if you're not due for tires, this is a phenomenal price worth pre-buying at. I doubt this sale will last the day.

Forgot to mention - there is also a $70 mail-in rebate off a set of 4 from Bridgestone.

That's a great price for Bridgestone DriveGuards and wish I'd seen these before putting General NRFs on my X3 in the same size (235/55-18). Once on the vehicle, it difficult notice that the new tires are only 10 mm narrower, however the load rating remains the same of the OE Goodyear RFs.

They're not that great in the rain. Price is good but I'll pay a premium for Continentals.

Just curious, exactly what didn't you like? I found the wet performance to be quite good, and the Tire Rack reviews also rate this well.

We did a demo day in San Antonio and found the Drive Guards were not great in the wet. Specifically stopping distance. It was a good 10 ft difference between them and the DWS'.
