2011 BMW X3 halogen light bulb size question
We’ve just purchased our 2011 BMW X3 in Canada the car came from the US.
Unfortunately it’s equipt with a halogen set up however I have a question if anyone can answer. I notice in each housing there are 3 lights. 1 h7 for the regular beam, 1h7 for the high beam/ DRL Above the high beam / drl there is another light. Does anyone know what kind of bulb it is? It seems to only then itself of when I have the regular night lights on. |

In the UK we call that small bulb the side light, but I've seen it referenced as position light in N/A. Its a 5W W5W Bulb. It should be the first bulb that comes on (very dimly) on the light switch first position.

Thank you for the reply yes I think they call it a parking light. Interesting, anyone know if there’s any cool lights that can be out here maybe a different color or something?

bulb 2 - yes? there's loads of options depending on your locals rules and regs. I just swapped in an led, and with bimmercode changed the daylight driving setting to run the sidelights instead of having the dipped beam as the drl.

That’s very interesting thank you. Mind posting a photo of your light setup and instructions on how you did that? |
