Sports seats good for casual driver?

Hi,

I'd convinced myself that sports seats were worth going for, because so many people strongly recommend them on this forum.

I'm having cold feet now, I won't be doing any extreme driving - more likely I'll be doing long highway drives, where I want to be as comfortable as possible.

The sports seats do look good, so anyone able convince me one way or the other whether I'll be *less* comfortable in the sports seats than regular seats?

Aside from how they look, I test drove X3s with sports seats and standard seats and preferred the comfort of the sports seats. I do have quite an upright driving position to support my back - part of the reason for getting an X3 over an estate.

I test drove both too and the sports seats feel great. The support on them is great.

Personally speaking, sports seats much more supportive and comfier for long drives than normal seats.

Go for sport seats, they are your best bet. Wonder if we will ever see the comfort seats in the X3?

Garage List
I have sports seats in my E90 and comfort seats in my X5. The sports seats are not just for spirited driving - they are much more comfortable and supportive, especially on long trips. You chose well, don't second guess yourself!
