Spray on sun protection/coating screen for iDrive?
I bought a used x3 that has some blemishes on the iDrive screen when the sun is shining into it directly, most likely because the old owner tried to clean it or touched it and wore off some of the sun protection coat. Is there a product out there were I could essentially spray/paint over these spots with the sun protection coating to cover it up so that when the sun is shining directly on there, there aren't just spots that loOk like there are scratches?

Screen Protector from Amazon
I used a screen protector I got from Amazon. Made for the X3. Had same issues - works awesome. No more glare either.
See link to item on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/LFOTPP-8-8-Inch-Navigation-Protector-Tempered/dp/B071WFPNCD/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1519216852&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=bmw+x3+scren+protecotr[/IMG] |

The best method is to take out the screen (there are DIY's on BMW forums), clean the damaged OE screen protector (I used Novus from Amazon - kit has 3 bottles), then you either leave it like this pending if sun glaring is an issue, or you find a good quality spray-on screen glaring/protector. There are also films that one could apply on the screen.
This is the Novus stuff from Amazon
