Purchased front hub assembly but arrived damaged. Return or use?
I bought an OEM hub and assembly part 31206870725 but the dust boot protecting the splines arrived bent. Would it be safe to bend it back and install or should I return it?
Will upload pics to free webhost so they can be displayed without linking. Last edited by randomuser1234; 10-12-2023 at 08:21 AM.. Reason: Add pics |

I did mine last year. I would send it back for a replacement.

Is it just how it sat in a box for a long time?
I'm not familiar with the part. If it needs to be straight and good to seal, and nothing else really touches its sides, I'd return it. If it fits over something else or gets mashed between other parts, then it'll probably get straightened out when that happens. I guess I'm saying - it depends on what that bent area contacts, if anything. |
