Detailing

Hey guys, I want to have my Alpine White detailed and I was wondering if you can help me. I'm not experienced in detailing and never done it before.

1. Do you have to wait 6 months after delivery to wax? My X3 is a month old.
2. Anyone know a good detailing place in Staten Island? Or around the NYC area.
3. How much will it cost and what should I ask for.

Thanks.

i'm in CT and got a full exterior detail for $125 (normal price is $145 but they discounted it $20 since it was a new car).

Wax is not only for the look. It is also for protection. I wouldn't wait a sec. to protect it.

I' would go for a polymer-based wax (2 layers for 100% protection) + Carnauba-based (1 layer for the look).

If you want to do it yourself, I recommend the following online retailler:

Waxing the car extends the pleasure you'll have with your car to your driveway.

You can wax a car as much/soon as you want, polishing is another story. Not only does waxing make you car look nice and shiny but it protects it from dirt meaning you don't have to clean as often and when you do clean the dirt and grime comes off much easier.

Since your X3 is so new there's no reason to pay +$100 to get your car detailed, it's very easy to DIY all you need is time.
