Did you check the fit on wheels from the first gen X3? I thought I read somewhere they would not fit the new X3??

I had the dealer put one on to see if it would fit. He said they are fine, but the lug bolts would have to be changed out for longer ones. |

I suspected that I'd have to use the lugs from the new F25.
I have my snows on a set of bornets. I might swap them with the E83 OEM wheels and sell the old E83 with the borbets and keep the e83 wheels with my snows. The oem wheels seem to age better than the borbets. |

I'll probably use a set of 17 inch SSR GT7s that I had on the 335xi. Might as well use the lightweight forged wheels for winter as they are just taking up room in the garage

guess we'll find out. i put in a bid for a used set wheels from gen 1 x3. I believe they're 17x8 (that correct?). Trying to figure out the correct sized tires to put on. Stock appears to be 235-55/17. Put it in one of those calculators, and it appears to be 1.7% off. Not too bad, but obviously not 100% ideal. Any idea on what other size would do well on a 17x8 wheel for the x3 that is a bit closer to stock? |

what size are the OEMs? 17x8 right? Are the 215-65/17's goings to fit on an 8" wide wheel? stock wheel size seems to be 235-55/17's. |

Tire Rack sells the correct (2011) transmitters for about $53 each. If you buy from an eBay seller, be sure that they will guarantee that the transmitters you are receiving are the new (2011) version. Recently, (18) states have begun checking for proper function of the TPMS system at vehicle inspections. In most of those, you will just get a warning if the TPMS is not functioning, but in Hawaii, Rhode Island, Vermont and West Virginia the vehicle can be rejected for a non-functional TPMS. any thoughts on putting 225/60-17 tires on a 17x8" wheel? I did some googling and some are saying 225 is too narrow on an 8" tire, but others say it should be fine as 225 width should be fine for 6"-8" width wheels.
