I was never able to track mine, however looking at the sailing times and with the pick up date I'd been given it could have only been one ship. I was still trying the track it when I had a call from my dealer saying it had arrived. My car went into production on the 20th of may and was at the dealers on the 10th of June.

Titanium grill on order...also might go for the chrome exhaust tip as well. Not too sure of putting in mud flaps...any thoughts on this?

Congratulations. Looks great. Nice interior. Your pics a good illustration of the difference the light makes on the leather colour in photos

Yep, the red brown is very deceptive with pics/ configurator. Its's actually more of brick red than brown with a darker tone.

Betie, car looks fantastic, love the colour of the leather. Did you get 4 of the silver trimmed cups as I did? I assumed they were for the cup holders in the rear arm rest, but they didn't fit.

Nope...only had the two for the front. Will be going to the dealer next week for the other extras so will pass it thru him to see what they say.

Also in the rear compartment where the emergency triangle is, I came across what looks like a tool bag/wallet but it only has one reversible screw driver....didn't see the point of having a wallet just for the sake of one small tool. Has anyone come across this or am I missing some other parts?

I think your only suspose to get 2, somehow I ended up with 4. I haven't really checked out the stuff in the rear. I know I have a fold up box, netting, etc. I also had another problem with the car. The front passenger window button came away from the arm. Luckily it just required a quick push back in where it clicked ino place. God knows how it came free.

Smile Tracking

Similarly I've been unable to track my vehicle using the dealer supplied VIN on the WW website, although I wouldn't be surprised if the dealer has given me an incorrect VIN !
Basically was (after some duplicity from the original salesman) told by the Sales Manager that my X3 would be available first week in July after ordering on 24.12.10. Here's a brief list of progress :
8.06 - Dealer said status was 5055 (see previous threads for explanation)
9.06 - Dealer said built and entered paint shop (!)
15.06 - Said departed plant 11.06
27.06 - EDD (Estimated delivery to Dealer) 22.07
I then checked the WW schedules and assumed (and yes I forget what "ass u me" means !) that either FIDELIO arriving Southampton 9.07 or FALSTAFF arriving 18.07 would be transporting my X3.
30.06 - Dealer agreed that date of "first week in July" for delivery to me would not be met and agreed to chase shipment to find which vessel it would be on.
5.07 - Dealer emailed to say that my vehicle was at the vehicle distribution centre in Thorne, Doncaster and he would be arranging for it to be transported to them today
Looking again at the WW schedules it would seem to me that in fact it was shipped on the vessel INTEGRITY which left Charleston on 14.06 and arrived in Southampton on 1.07.
Great news apart from the fact that yesterday morning before hearing from the dealer I extended my car hire for 3 weeks and will now have to cancel and take the hit.
Still there's hope yet guys, maybe some of your cars were also on INTEGRITY
Oh by the way I found this website great for tracking vessels if you can find out what ship your motor is on

Congrats Rob, send in the pictures when you can.

I will take a few more of mine as the sat screen gets changed tomorrow. Hopefully it solves the problem.

Welcome! Good decision (despite the ridiculous wait!). Post the spec when you order in case you miss some essential (like xenons )

Febs not to bad, I was at the dealer this morning (getting my nav screen replaced) and he told me they are now taking orders for April. Saying that they have a cancelled slot that they are keeping, 39K worth of X3 that will be on sale shortly. By the way sfax, you need to update your spec, you have the titanium grilles. I updated my pro sat nav a while back.

DAB is worth it if you like stations you can only get on medium wave, internet or stations that you can't pick up on FM because of regional differences. I got it mostly for 5Live, 5LiveExtra and TalkSport. It's usually pretty reliable and I hardly ever use normal FM/MW now but if the signal is poor it will obviously drop out and you may need to switch temporarily. iDrive functionality is the same as for normal radio really

Getting DAB is also future proofing as analogue will ultimately be switched off
