iDrive Service record deleting Independant Services
Since the recent Software update, my F25 20D has had all services by anyone other than BMW deleted.
I asked my Independant Garage to replace them and to add the service that they were doing. They reported back that as an independant service centre the software will not allow them to add a service record. To me, BMW is being unethical in preventing anyone but BMW from updating the Service Record. |

I'm confused. Service records visible where? At least in the US I'm not aware of service records being stored in the car. Are you talking about something other than just resetting the mileage/time counter when something like an oil change is done?

Opie55...I don't have this feature in any of my BMWs...but do remember seeing it mentioned. I've also seen it mentioned in coding threads, too.

I think it’s a market thing. Some have it some don’t…similar to the statutory inspection that have the squiggly lines preceding the inspection’s name. They appear if you have them in your state or municipality…but if you don’t have those emissions and vehicle inspections…they are not listed.
