I am happy, it stays a BMW:
1. Ugh, what an ugly car, they completely failed!
2. Ok, this is somehow OK, but all the rest is ugly!
3. On this pic it looks way better!
4. Well, finally it is not that bad looking, could be better though!
5. No, I still like it!
6. In fact this car is a fu***** good looking!
7. I love it, it is the best! I love BMW's!

So was it for me with: 1 (E8x), 3 (E9x), 5 (6x), 5 (F1x), 5 GT (F07), 6 (E6x), 7 (E6x), 7 (F01), X1 (E84), X3 (F25), Z4 (E89)

And now seriously, I really like the new X3. Two things I do not like: the "old" climate control panel / buttons and the fact that the exhaust on 35i is not right and left like on 335i/535i...

I'd lay money they'll offer it in other countries with a MT, but not the US...

The new X3 is nice! love the tail. It's way nicer than the current one!

BUT I just feel like the X3 always got left behind by BMW.

The current X3 adopted its interior from the E46, which came out 10 years ago.
The New X3 is adopting its interior from the E90, which came out 5 years ago. And it still hasn't been released yet!!!

And the headlamps! I like them too but they looks kinda similar to the Q5's

^I think I read somewhere that says this new X3 is based on the F30, although I don't know in what way. But I think it is kind of odd that this X3 still uses the old climate control system as seen in the E90.

I sure hope so! I won't be buying any SUV/SAV without a diesel and the X5 is more then I need.

The U.S. will jack up fuel-economy rules to 35 miles per gallon by 2016, four years earlier than planned. I don't see how they will accomplish this without the use of diesel in these types of vehicles.

So how about it BMW? GOT DIESEL?

DITTO!

Bring it over the first year BMW and save yourself the headache, it won't cut into X5 sales as the buyers are very different.

yea somethings telling me they wont becuase on bmw.de that engine is not offered and the 2.0 in the X1 23d is not offered either, its so ridiculous. its like audi. i love the Q5 and would get one but htey wont put the diesel in for fear of destroying the Q7 diesel sales. sooooo dumb. hopefully the fuel economy ratings will change that

$10K+ I would imagine depending on the engine selection.

+1, only way I am gonna buy one of either X3 or Q5 is if they have the Turbo diesel. Oh and I would never buy the Q7. WTF would I do with that? I am bachelor. Different buyers totally. Now I have a RAV4 that will kick the pants off any non Turbo x3 or Q5 and at a fraction of the price, not much of an arguement for these cute utes without diesel IMO.

I hope you're just saying that to be nice to your sister who may be a forum member, seriously the 1st Gen X3 was a real minger, ugly inside and out with a ride worse than an Armish buggy.

One of the photos on the first page is actually a "Manual" (second interior photo before the iphone photo) but maybe it's not for the US .

Is that M-sport pack Alpine White or Brilliant White or something altogether different?
