Extended warranty help - Canadians
Hi,
I know the warranties offered north/south of the border are very different, even the basic warranty covers different items like I know in the US you guys have your wiper blades covered standard, up north we don't. My question is, I have a 2011 X3 35i, 41,000kms, and just got a letter for $450 off the extended warranties. 2yrs or 3yrs. I don't drive a lot, so I'd take the one with the cheaper KMS but is it worth getting it through BMW canada or through a third party like nationwide? For an extra 2years/40,000kms to bring it to 6yrs/120,000kms total it would be 2549+ tax If you have gotten an extended warranty with your vehicle, do you mind posting what extras/deductions you have plus pricing vs. the BMW canada one? Thanks. |

my experience on 3rd party insurers is not good. i had to change out the actuator in my 335d. Warranty Direct only paid 25% of the bill as they said it would only take 1 hour labor not the 4 hour it needed. I checked with 4 garages all said same thing about most of these 3rd party operators.
If i was doing it again i would only get a policy from BMW direct. |
Appreciate
