Which one should I use on my new X3 and why?

I've narrowed down my sealant choices to Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze and Zaino Z-2. Which one do you recommend and why? Something more than "product XYZ is better" please. I would like to hear from people who have experience with both.

Both are good synthetic (meaning not carnauba based) sealants. If you are a casual car washer/waxer (no detailer/ non OCD) go with Klasse, a little easier to use. I am OCD and have no issue spending 2-3hrs each week on my vehicle and my personal preference between these two is the Zaino. if there are zealots on here you will end up with a tie I would predict.

I have never used Klasse or Zaino, but I really like Wolfgang Deep Gloss. The application is really easy and you get a long lasting wet-look shine.

I use the Zaino Z2 and love it. Just did the X3 with it last week and it looks great and the finish feels like silk. Also like the Zaino because you can get it on the black trim and it won't make white marks like most products do.

I put another two coats of Z-2 on the X3 today. I like the look, the protection, the ease of application, and the ability to apply it to all exterior surfaces. Works great on wheels. Doesn't keep the dust off (haven't found anything that really does), but makes cleaning a breeze. In the Winter the Z-2 seems to last well through the automatic washes. Am a fan of Z-CS, Z-8, and Z-10 for the leather, too.

I used Klasse all in one and the sealant on my 2007 328i jet black four times a year and it looked great and protected the car for years with and without a garage. Based on those results I started using Klasse on its replacement a jet black x3 35i. Jet black is my favorite color but it is tough to keep looking good and the Klasse helps. The all in one is easy to apply and remove but the sealant is a bit tougher to remove. I also use a clay bar one per year. The all in one helps to hide/remove swirl marks common with these black bmws. So for me the Klasse has provided protection and shine across all weather and environmental experiences.

I’m not sure why some think Zaino is harder to apply.
Just don’t gob it on and I find it very easy to apply and wipe off.

I use ICE spray wax and ICE spray detailer by Turtle Wax. I have used it for 18 mo. on my 2010 35i Z4 and I just applied it to my 2011 X3 35i MSport that I have had for 2 wks. Both cars are Titan Silver. I also use it on my wife's 3 YO mini-van. It is the easiest and best product that I have ever used. After a drive in the Zed a spritz(detailer) on the front end and a microfiber cloth causes the bugs to literally slide off and I can do the whole car in less than 10 min. Hint- Buy a large quantity of microfiber clothes(Costco etc) and change cloths often. Wash them in hot water with minimal detergent and dry them on low heat. The clue to no scratches is to use only very clean microfiber cloths. I have experimented with many many products over the last 50+ years and these are the best products that I have ever used.

I have been using Klasse for years, and have nothing but praise for it. Great stuff, reasonable price, easy to apply, and holds up well.

On a new car, you can skip the cleaner and go straight to a single coat of sealant. Sparingly wipe the sealant on with a microfiber pad (use a quarter-sized squirt per typical car-sized body panel like a door or fender). Go over the whole car panel by panel. Once you're done, go back around the car using a barely-damp microfiber towel to buff the haze out, then follow up with a dry towel to further buff it if desired.

The key trick is to use the damp towel for the initial buff, as it really helps. If you use a dry towel, it takes a lot more work, and the towel can clog. By the way, when I say barely-damp, the emphasis is on barely. You want to wring that thing out as much as possible.

One of the things I like the most about Klasse sealant is that it won't make a mess on black plastic or other plastic parts. In fact, I apply it over headlights and tail lights just the same as body panels. It makes them shine great and bead water too.
