Question Xdrive 35i laden/unladen/curb weight

Does anyone know whence comes the 4222 curb weight figure put out by BMW of Belair and others for the 35i? Official BMW brochures often spec out "unalden" weight which might mean without driver or fuel, two "weights" often put into official numbers. Anyone know?

Also, I am trying to understand the weight of the vehicle without the moon roof vs. with it- any clues out there? My point is that if the 4222 is without a moon roof, and if the thing adds a couple of hundred pounds, it could be almost as porky as the larger Cayenne S. What say?

I would love to be able to order without moon roof but keep the power folding mirriors, though even here I am hoping that the dimming feature can be toggled off when you actually want to see almost as well behind you as you do the road forward.

thanks for any input
