Less than 9 days for X3 to be finished? Is this true?

I order by X3 on 8/17. I went to call today for production status and it said the vehicle is waiting for transportation. Could this be true? It sounds unbelievable? I called and spoke to a rep and he confirmed that he has seen vehicles produced in less than a week. Has anyone else experienced or hear of this?

Could easily be true. Depends if your dealer had a production slot already reserved. I ordered my X3 in Mid January and the dealer had a production slot already reserved for the last week of January. They just went into the system and changed the reserved slot to match the X3 I ordered and it showed up the 2nd week of February.

You can also call the customer service... I am sure that is true..

I remember seeing a thread on this forum and it was faster than yours!

What Alanintx said. Depending on how soon they can get a freight, between transport, prepping, and receiving the car at your dealership this should take at least another week. Very nice turn around nonetheless.

My car just went into production today and it was originally slotted for the week of 36 (Sept. 5). I read the other threads and many said that the phone system is quicker than the online status. But mine was the opposite. The phone system still says that it is awaiting production date.
