Sports seats

I see a number of fellow posters have taken the sports seat option. What are they like on a long run. I still have the option to change my order and I'm tempted. Does anyone find the standard seats lacking?

Test drive had standard seats and all previous cars has standard seats so I was worried about sports seat comfort...but they are very comfortable, more so than my previous e60 seats on a long run. The adjustable support keep you firmly in place when you throw the x25 round corners and the thigh supports add to comfort.

If I was ordering today they would be second on my list after xenons, or third after 30d engine

Add them and you will not be dissapointed!

You've nearly convinced me. Email sent to the dealer to see what deal can be done!! My only concern is no-one has said standard seats are bad.

They are terrible

Is that enough to get them by the wife?

Based on the quick test drive I had this morning she will notice...Was very impressed with the 3.0d.

Oh and yes definately go for the sport seats.

Sports seats are nice and are definitely a step up from the standard ones. However you should go check them out yourself and see if the extra bolstering is too much for you. The side bolstering is great since they're adjustable but for me the leg bolstering is too much and gets pretty uncomfortable if you always sit straight with your left foot on the dead pedal.

PS: I'm 5'9 160 lb so I would imagine taller/larger people might have even more difficulty.

Both options are comfortable, however I really enjoy the sport seat. If the dealer did not show them to me I would have been happy with the standard seat. It's your preference.
