Current mileage in my coupe ~58K. Changed two tyre sets upto now. One small issue with RFTs is places like Kwikfit don't tend to repair them but BMW dealers now tend to do it when possible. So if a dealership isn't contactable you are likly to end up buying a new tyre.

Has anyone had experience comparing runflats with regular tires (or tyres, I'm not picky ) in the same car, same rim size?

i went from standard runflats in a 3.0l z4 to goodyear F1s, same tyre sizes... had a much bouncier ride, just felt like i was bobbing around whereas in the z4, ride felt much firmer with the sports suspension and all, much more grip when i was stepped on it...definitely preferred to the F1s given the car itself (went through 1 set of rears runflats v 2 full sets of non-runflats) but in the x3, i'm going for comfort more than a harsh ride...
