How to make guidance voice louder?

I've skimmed through the owners' manual pdf and googled this to no avail...

Can someone knowledgeable pitch in??

During a voice instruction press the "volume up" button to reach desired volume.

Turning the volume knob during a voice transmission certainly works.

I found the solution by trial and error last night. Not the most intuitive way of adjusting it but it works!
