Why do I feel that they just did this as a last minute thing to show the press that oh ya its sporty too..
It is very late in the development to be doing the ring! The F30 just hit the ring and its 2 years away... |

^ maybe this is just a final pass, perhaps they just missed it before or mistook it for something else...

Wow, that first pic is the best looking shot I've seen of the X3 thus far.
I can't say I was impressed with what had been shown previously. Andrian VdH seems to be doing a pretty sweet job one after the other he's the first to make the cars nice "all around", All view angles (front, side, rear, front 3/4 view, rear 3/4 view) + the new interiors ... niam niam. Thus far, the X5, 7 and 5 Series The new 7; is the first time BMW could convince a young pup like me to actually look at such a big pappi car size and think, hmmm I would want that car and could see myself in it. Still on the fence about the Z4; Maybe just not there yet. Although, it's much much better than the previous chop shop/butcher cuts Z4 & Miata like Z3 ... but still kinda Mehhh Last edited by Norsk; 06-29-2010 at 10:34 AM.. |

These are final evaluation prototypes having their final shakedown. in the run-up-to-launch there is always final tuning being done before production begins. |

BMW may have their own testing grounds where they can iron out the bugs. They cannot and will not avoid going to the Nürburgring - the Ring is where any company faces the competition.

It looks stunning in the first pic! I want to see a vid of this thing on the ring.
