I doubt it will look anything like this render. In fact, my believe it won't differ much from current model, just conservative mods, making the X3 the lowest in the lineup.

I love my current X3, I don't think I would change anything about it. If I wanted a sports car, I would get one. It isn't meant to lap the ring, it's meant to get loaded up to the top in cargo, drive 500 miles through all different weather conditions. On top of all that, do it with ease and comfort. Mine has checked off all of those boxes. Doesn't hurt to have some hp for passing people though

BMW has been minimalist in interior designs, all you need at your finger tips, Porsche uses touch screen (as far as I know) which makes it more distracting than the usual "joystick"

The render says Dodge Durango to me. Ugh. The headlights look like every other car manufacturer right now. Double round is what makes BMW unique. I'd hate to see them go away.

Ok, this is just a render (don't know how acurate it is), but I don't really like it honestly. The headlights look pretty "Audi-ish", and the side lines are pretty boring (and actually also a bit more Audi than BMW style).

I definitely prefer the F25 side lines, much more muscular and exciting.

The first X4 is similar to the Mercedes-Benz GLE and in some ways the E71 BMW X6 models launched within their life cycles of the standard based vehicle.
Just as we see the new F16 X6 is now fresher and more advanced in every aspect. The X4 G03 will be based heavily on the G01 therefore will be on the same level of advancement of the G01 X3. That gives the current X4 a shelf life of around 4 years when the next X4 arrives in early 2018.

BMWs SUV momentum in 2017-2018 will be strong what with the next X3, X4, X-Cite , an overhaul of the X5 and the first BMW X7 model. The G07.

The engine lineup will encompass six- and eight-cylinder units as well as a plug-in hybrid derivative with six cylinders earmarked for future BMW luxury models and a version of the next RR models. The top end X7 will feature a revamped V12 motor which its high power is a variation from the Rolls-Royce Wraith.

Mechanical and technology features will also be shared with the first Rolls-Royce SUV. G07 will also utilise CFRP in its chassis and weight load bearing section from the CLAR cluster matrix which begins its roll out in the all new BMW 7er.

Rendering looks like a smaller X5, which is good. It sheds the odd "cute little dog" profile the current X3 has, which I can't quite put my finger on. Might be that the hood is just a bit too short compared to the height of the greenhouse. This new one looks better that way. To my eyes though.

I see the similarities too. Both have two headlights, four doors and four tires.

X3 new body design looks good.

This X3 looks sweet especially with the new headlights, I hope they go with this design. Of course I always want a more aggressive design to the Bimmers. The past two body designs were week. I much prefer the X4 design, and we are still awaiting on a full X4M.

I like the new X3 lights alot but I will miss the round halos. You see, I have a 2011 Camaro SS/RS with two single halos and my wife just ordered herself a new 2016 X3. We will have 6 halos in our driveway real soon. Post a picture at dusk soon...!
