Uneven folding side mirrors!

Just picked up my brand new X3 last week, and yesterday, I noticed that the side mirrors are uneven when folded in. The passenger side comes in more compare to the driver side. Is this normal?

Thanks for confirming. I found out from a few others too. Some people don't even notice until I pointed it out. It's weird because aren't they supposed to be symmetrical?

No, because the viewing angle differs substantially between the two from the driver's position.

I'm sure the mirrors in a McLaren F1 are perfectly symmetrical

The viewing angles are different because the glass can be adjusted. The whole housing itself should be symmetrical. They're symmetrical when they're in the driving position.
