Titanium Silver M Sport vs. Standard
Anyone else find the standard model far less visually appealing than the m-sport? M-sport trumps the standard for all colors, but I just find the difference much greater with titanium silver. The black trim stands out much more than on the other colors. "Cheaper" may not be the right word, but the black trim takes away a lot of the visual appeal for me.

It definitely looks better!
M-Sport was not in my budget, so I purposely chose a dark colour. I was going to go with black, but my wife liked Space Grey and I thought it did a decent job of downplaying the black trim, so I ordered it in grey. A woman who works with me drives a 2013 model and told me that she ordered it in black specifically to avoid being able to see the black plastic trim. If exterior appearance was the most important thing, I would have bought the Q5 as I think it's a slightly better looking car and I could afford the S-Line package. However, I'm VERY happy with my decision to go with the better driving car with the dramatically better driver interface and I'll just ignore all that black cladding.. |

^^ M sport looks better on all colors, but the black trim doesn't look nearly as bad on space grey, black or bronze. I think it looks much worse on titanium silver, mineral silver and white...

I actually don't like the M-Sport on the facelift as much, I think the X-Line looks a lot better.
The M-Sports I keep seeing look too tall, the X-Lines look wider and lower and I prefer that. |

Er, no. The sLine on the Audis is just more plastic trim and big wheels like the MSport on BMWs. I suspect you were thinking of the S series e.g. S5, S6 etc.
Me too. The original xLine on the F25 was trivial but on the LCI they've got it spot on. They've put the trim in all the right places to really emphasise the size and shape of the vehicle. The Msport still looks rather odd to me.

I think the Xline gives the standard car a purposeful look and makes the car look wider and more 4x4 like than the MSport which in some colours to my mind can look a bit over the top

The problem with the X-Line is.....They cant supply the f@*%ing wheels !
Thats why I chose an M-sport in black with the lovely 20".

I agree and I was only joking with the pic above, although why BMW's marketing department would choose such an unflattering shot of the MSport alongside the xLine is beyond me. Both are an improvement over the SE but I do prefer the xLine.

Prefer m sport in the pic and in the flesh myself. Looks more aggressive at the front.

I'm convinced that the only way BMWNA can sell the LCI M Sport is to make the Sport seats exclusive to it. If you could get the Sport seats and staggered wheels on the X-Line, the F25 LCI M Sport would be a unicorn.
