Headlight Beam pattern

Hi,

I recently changed my bulb on the left side and since driving on pitch black roads I've been paying more attention to the beam pattern of my car. Now i dont know if this is me not noticing this before but is the left side meant to be slightly past the right side? Is that 'kink' in the middle supposed to be there and does anyone else have a similar pattern on their X3?
I drive a right hand side car as i'm in the UK for reference.

Take a pic shining on a flat building wall from ~25 feet away.
Should look similar to this pic, just opposite notch direction for RHD.
