Ride quality 2004 X3
Found a 30.000 miles 2004 X3, very good conditioned.
How harsh is the ride quality? Coming from E46 330xi will I be unhappy with X3's ride quality? |

Due to the shorter wheel base the ride may feel a bit stiff.
I just sold my 2005 X3 today with 173k miles. It was very comfortable and not stiff at all but still handled like a Bmw even though admittedly the suspension was worn. I replaced it with a 2007 X3 with 69k miles. This one has a much stiffer feel, more responsive and direct. |

I feel like my 07 x3 has that typical BMW ride quality. Obviously it's going to be slightly different going from a sedan to a SAV but even so to me it feels like I'm driving a wagon more than an SUV-type ride.
See if you can take it for a good test drive and really test it out the way you're going to drive it as opposed to taking it around a dealer's test track. |
