'22 X3M Pics with Side Steps, Running Boards, or Side Skirts

Transitioned from 2018 F80 M3 Competition to 2022 F97 X3MC this year. So far, I really love the versatility of the sporty compact SUV but would like to add some subtle personality.

In particular, I am interested in comparing pics of X3M/X3MC's, particularly those with side steps, running boards, and side skirts. I've seen several with the side skirts which seems very subtle. Most are carbon fiber, which I'd like to steer away from (gloss black would be preferred based on the accents on the car already).

Questions:
1. Has anyone installed side steps or running boards on their X3MC?
2. Do front lips, side steps, side skirts that fit pre-LCI X3Ms also fit the '22?
3. If no to #2, what are the current options for the LCI?

Thanks in advance, all!

Best,

ZweiTurbos

personally, this car is a soccer mom vehicle, not a massive truck. no need for side steps imo.

front lips and grills do not fit. everything else (side skirts, rear diffuser, side mirrors, etc.) will fit on both pre-LCI and LCI models.

for front lips? none.

Thanks for the feedback! Seems the aftermarket hasn't caught up to the LCI yet.

It also seems your car choices have been very similar...mine: '07 e90 335i -> '15 f80 m3 -> '18 f80 m3 zcp -> 22 X3MC! Great taste!

Side steps on an X#M will get you banned on this forum. Get the side skirts, call it a day.

Wow, what a nice welcome - thanks for that!

I was thinking more of the subtle side steps like in the picture below...not truck running boards / Jeep nerf bars.

Either way, your contributions are warmly received!

CF Side Skirt Extensions

RW Carbon side skirt extensions. These screw onto the bottom of the factory side skirts - I suppose you could use tape in addition if you wanted. RW Carbon has another product that fit *over* the factory skirts. I prefer the more subtle look. Fine quality and appearance and matches other CF I have, OEM and other.

Those look great! Do you know if these are offered in glossy black? They look very similar to the side sills I had on my M3's...wasn't sure if these were appropriate for an SAV/SUV, but they look good. Combined with the front lip, it really gives a nice finished appearance.

That front lip won't fit the LCI, will it?

Thanks again @Kyxap!

Thank you!

These side skirts are not available in glossy black, at least not from RW Carbon. It is possible something similar may be available from the original manufacturer, but who knows who that might be (Chinese mfr?).

The lip (Sterckenn) does not fit the X3 M LCI.
