Princess Has Been Dinged
Some %$S#@!~ in a parking lot has dinged Princess! The maddening thing is that its so small that its not worth doing anything about, the plastic suface of the rear bumper was pierced like it was hit with a small hole punch and a couple of scratch marks. The first few months I had the car I had several dreams about it getting hit or keyed. Detracts from the value yet probably costs more to fix.

Mine was dinged a few hours after I picked it up. That was kind of difficult to live through...

Ya should practice defensive parking techniques.
The slovenly are usually also lazy and won't park near you if they have to walk a few more steps than is necessary. Unfortunately some people think it's OK to drive by "feel".

Ugh, I'm sorry. The first few months of owning a new car are painful in some ways - I had constant fear of getting the vehicle in a wreck or scratched.
Lo and behold, it finally happened, 1 month after taking ownership. I stupidly took my X3 to a drive through car wash (with bristles) and got 3 or 4 long feather scratches on the car. I was SOO pissed but really only had myself to blame because I didn't even know car washes could do that. It was especially bad because it was peak snow season so several cars with grit/salt had been using the car wash. I was able to get it buffed out and now I use the brushless car wash. To be honest, I would probably get it fixed even its pricey. That stuff is worth it to me but I guess it depends on the quote and if you'd need a whole new part. Sorry |
