Will 2008 X3 wheels fit on 2017 x3

Looking to get set for winter...

The wheels I am looking at are off a 2008 X3, based on my research they are 8Jx18 ET44 which is the OEM 18 inch square setup for 2008 X3.

The specs for 2017 are 8Jx18 ET43. I don't think 1mm should be an issue.

Bolt patters is same 5x120, and center bore is same 72.6

Thread are different: M14 x 1.5 (2008) and M14 x 1.25(2017) but that means bolts have different threads (1.5 vs 1.25), but the actual whole should be the the same, which is the m14 part.

Does this mean rims will fit fine?

Thanks for your feedback

They may fit, but the offsets will be different, and you will see adverse handling

Pinewood, you will NOT notice a difference in offset of 1+1 mm - we are not talking inches .

Some people have installed spacers of 10-12 mm on their X3:s - still happy.

Islavov, what is important is to buy good wintertires. There seem to be different physical properties in the US,GB and Sweden, so I will not give you an advice.

Looks like, these will fit then.

Yeah, I know good tires make all the difference in the world. I just dont want to swap tires b4 and after every season, and my car came with the Pirelli summer performance tires so I need to get new shoes for winter.
