Is there any metal support for that thing or is it all plastic? Looks like its more cosmetic than functional. It doesn't look like it can support a big guy if they put all his weight on it.

Both running boards are installed. Sorry for the crappy iphone pics, but I will try to use my DSLR camera next time.

I'm sorry guys...I never really had a chance to borrow my wife's X3 to take some distance shots using my DSLR because she's always using the car.
I really wanted to take lots of nice & clear shots for everyone to see how the running board add a difference. My apology for now...I will keep reminding myself to do this.

I think this is a worthy investment during snowboard season. The extra height gives you much more room to work with loading/unloading the snowboards/skis with ease. You'll never have to step inside the car to adjust anything again!
I am considering this as winter's coming. |
