I have read that production will be shifted from Austria to Spartanburg, SC. That would seem to put an end to Euro delivery of the X3, unless some production will continue in Europe. Does anyone have any info on this?

True. X3 is moving to Spartanburg completely. No further ED on the X3.

I don't understand how the 2010 model will be out of production in July 2010 and the 2011 model will not be available for at least 5-6 months? I thought BMW always had a short/no gap between previous model/new models??

i want an X3 this Fall, like Sept/Oct!

Yeah, I agree usually there is a gap but not longer than a few months. I can't believe the timeframe has not been addressed by anyone yet, why would they start production in a few months in SC but not sell them to the public till next year, doesn't make sense to me. Seems like this vehicle should be available in US this fall.

I guess they will produce some stock to fill that gap.

They have to bring it to market right because Audi is going to one-up the entire segment, by adding their 333HP Supercharged 3.0L/8speed gearbox to the Q5.

Then one day, enter the X3-M!

Europe is the bread & butter market for the X3, so it's a given!
