Resetting TPMS after Tire Rotation?

Does anyone know if/how to reset the TPMS after rotating tires between front and rear?

Background: I discovered on my 528i that I could get more life out of the stock RFTs' by rotation them. I got over 41000 out of the stock GY LS2's on my wife's 528i and the dealer thought they would go a few more thousand but she was going on a trip and I didn't want to risk it.

Well you aren't supposed to rotate tires on BMW, and there is a good deal of supporting information to that out on the Internets (and the owners manual).

With that said, you should just go into where the TPMS is in the i-drive, and instead of showing the status, select the "init". It will reset everything.

So why are we not suppose to rotate the tires on a BMW? Stagger tires is a good reason, but what about people that doesnt have stagger tires?

Thank you for above information. Note: The dealer actually rotated the tires on my 528 and told me that they don't recommend it but will do it if they are all the same size tires. The service manager told me the "do not rotate" myth is because they have a variety of cars with larger rear tires and don't want to confuse people. When he saw that the only noticeable wear was on the outside edge of the fronts (due to the factory camber) he recommended rotating them to get more life out of the otherwise good tires.
