Painting the rear bumper stripe

Anyone thought about painting the black stripe in the back of non-M-pkg models? I wonder if paint will stick since that stripe is most likely treated plastic.

There's a thread in the photos forum that shows a non-Msport with painted bumpers. I'd link it but I'm on my phone.

Paint would stick with no problem. They have that primary coating for plastic . After all, aren't all bumpers plastic now, and all painted?
