Squeaky seat????

I've had my X3 for about 6 weeks and these past few days I started to hear the seat (driver) squeaking. I'm going to bring it to the deal to have the take a look but does anyone have this issue? If so, do you have a fix?

I have the same problem, went to the dealer and the famous phrase "could not duplicate" but they "lubed" the springs...2 days later the noise came back...so I just waited for the survey and just gave them low scores...now they are bugging me to go back but don't have the time to be going back & dropping off the car...will take it when something else needs to be looked at...
Make sure you get in the car with the SA so he/she can hear the noise...
Good luck..
Post the outcome...

A couple of people have reported this in a couple of threads. We had it with our driver's seat after a couple of weeks, but after 2-3 months it went away by itself. Following a recent long trip, it has started to come back again, although not as bad as originally. As it happens, I have got the car booked in for its first service next week so I'll be having it looked at.

I had that with my 2 previous 3 series. Try moving the reclining mechanism back and forth a few times it seems to move the lubrication around. It did work form me.

Is your seat all the way down? I don't have this issue but I've heard if you move the seat up just a little, the squeak should stop.

I have the problem in my passenger seat. I haven't brought it into the dealer yet because it is a long drive to the dealer... but I will at some point. Interesting that so many have the problem!

I tried adjusting the seats as some posters have mentioned and guess what it works. Thanks.

The noise came back. I'm going to check with dealer when I pickup my other car today.
