Hey guys,

Right now I’ve been debating on whether or not I want to install some mods to my X3 F25. The mileage is high, having 182,000+ but it runs like it’s brand new.

So I’m thinking on throwing upgrades on it once I get my next tune up but at the same time, maybe it’s not the right idea.

If anything, maybe add some aftermarket parts that make it more reliable you know?

If you guys have any thoughts, please let me know.🙏🏼

(Also I still do have a dealer warranty)

My (opinion only) if you’re looking for more power, just leave it alone. There’s an old saying as power goes up reliability goes down. If you’re looking for upgrades in reliability I will start the list by changing the “Mickey mouse” plastic fitting to the upgraded aluminum one. Keep up on all your fluid changes and she will last a long time…

If you have the dealer warranty then doing anything for power will void it 100%

If you are going to go down the upgrade path at that milage ( my E70 X5 35i has 253k on it and it's MHD stage 2+ tuned so I'm with the upgrades)

The very first thing you need to do it upgrade the charge and boost pipes to prevent blowing them out under increased boost.

Get a high flow K&N filter, as the stock intake is basically a cold air intake itself.

At that point you could get MHD for the F chassis N55 and tune for stage 1...

Next I'd get a catless downpipe and go MHD stage 2 with it..

Benefit of MHD is you can recode to stock easily at anytime...

I've done the charge and boost pipes on my X3, and will be doing the rest shortly.
