2011 X3 Mud Flaps - self install?

Has anyone installed the factory optional mud flaps themselves? I understand they provide any installation hardware and instructions. They look real good for the money. Picking up my 35i in a couple of weeks in SC (or more accurately, my wife's X3 as she reminds me). Thanks

If it's attached in same manner as the previous X3 you do need a big rivet tong. The previous X3 use big plastic rivets as attachments.

I installed front and back mudflaps on my old X6, Not a hard job but best to remove the wheels for easy access.

Installed my mud flaps yesterday. Was pretty straight forward, but hard on the knuckles at times.

FYI no instructions included, but was common sense installation i.e. where all the nuts & bolts go.

Certainly, pics attached. As for process, as noted, there were no typed instructions included in the package, but was pretty straight forward. Trickiest were the rear.

Apologies for the lack of installation instructions as it did not occur to me to document the process until after I'd completed the installation.

Thanks for pics

Was thinking of adding them myself, especially the rears

They look a little aftermarket? Is it me? Not sure the compliment and fit as they should

Those mud guards look different than on a white x3 someone had them installed on.

I got the mud flaps on the delivery of the car. I think those great - the mud stay on the flaps. And small stones are not thrown back on the other cars. I hope to reduce dents for my fellow drivers.

Actually they're sold as pairs; pair front & pair rear so if you only wanted to do the front or rear (for some reason), you could. I believe I paid $155CAD.

Word of caution to any M Sport owners/buyers. These will NOT fit the M Sport model due to the extended flares at the wheel wells. Don't know if they have a special set out yet for that (they do for the X5 M and M Sport) but worth checking on.

Just hate to see anyone frustrated by ordering and trying to install on M Sport...

This is an old thread about mudflaps - has anyone since April added these mudflaps to your F25? Are they easy to install? Looks like the set of 4 is about $120US - and after a discussion w/ Dukat last week, now i think i want to add them.
