Auto box jerk

I have a brand new 3.0d M Sport and have noticed the auto box is not as smooth as my previous F15 X5 3.0d

Odd jerk when engaging D. Also some of the changes could be better. In X5 virtually seamless.

Thinking of asking dealer to look at it as now run in. Anybody else had issues. Software problem ?

It sounds very much like the gearbox software. I had something very similar on my brand new 3.0 M sport 3 series a few years back. The dealer re-programmed it and all was fine.

Also, have you tried the re-set trick that you can perform yourself? It has been posted in the threads here somewhere.

Thanks. I have researched your suggestion and reset the auto. Just tried it and seems a lot smoother
