Also tried a 3.0D X4 M .... now I can see what everyone raves on about, ok its more money but its nice very nice. The rear window is small, and road noise was slightly more noticeable as it has larger wheels.
How did you find the refinement compared to your existing car? A noticeable difference in relation to the engine and sound proofing?
5K doesnt sound too bad.

just £5k to swap? what's the specs on that or how old's your current x3? think mine has lost about 15k in depreciation over 3 years already hence amazed at the figure.

The wheels were bigger so the road noise seemed a bit louder, the 3.0D was amazingly good. Sadly my buying manager (mrs) wont go for it...lol

Yes its £5k and our monthly payments going up too, dealer is good to us!

Only 5k? I got my 2.0D SE Auto in April 2012 (MY2013) and with 26,000 miles on the clock, after 28 months ownership was last month quoted a 15k add-on for similar spec /options, despite a 5% discount on the new car. Am really contemplating the 3 litre, but wanted a benchmark for the 2.0d.
You have a nice dealer!

Well have a nice dealer and put a bigger deposit I guess. I loved the 3.0D really nice, a little louder inside but a whole lot quicker.

I'm spoiling myself....my 30D has been great, I await its 35D replacement. :-)

On a lease the extra cost of a 35D over a 30D M-Sport is minimal.
