Hello folks. I recently test drove an X3 35i and loved it. Moving way up from
A Mazda CX-9 and now just need the Dealership to play Ball.

The one I'm looking at is 2014 with the Premium Package. Anything you would recommend? Any feedback is greatly appreciated

Well, if you're leasing, 3 things you need to arm yourself with to make a proper decision

1). How much are you paying relative to invoice?
2). What is your money factor?
3). What is the residual..

IF you are purchasing, question #1 is most pertinent to you.

I love the cold weather package - once you have a heated steering wheel you won't go back. Have a good bead on what packages are most important to you.

For some, they love all the nannies like blind spot etc..Others have to have hud. For others its 20" wheels..

If you get summer rubber and not all seasons, you will need to change your tires most likely in the winter where you live..Remember, summer tires are not only good in snow, they're no good in cold weather either - and downright dangerous.

I am up in Northern NJ and there are at least three left over 35is at Park Ave in Paramus. I got a 2014 35i with almost every conveivable option at a comparable lease price to my 2011 28i. Check out the inventory via bmwusa.com.

The pull ahead program is available through June 30th.

Rule #1 - Always negotiate up from invoice price or lower, never down from sticker.

Are the money factor and the residual negotiable?

I got quotes from a few dealerships and the price seems variable but they all quote the same money factor and residual.

Assuming your leasing thru BMW the money factor is set by BMW Financial Services. Dealers are allowed to mark that base rate up by as much as 0.0004. The markup is negotiable the base rate isn't. Also, the base acquisition fee for the lease is $725 and many dealers will mark that up. Again that markup is negotiable.

Can you share the lease quotes you received? I live in the NY City area and have gotten some pretty outrageous quotes. One dealer said there are no 14's left and another dealer quoted me high $600's for a 14 X3 with a sticker around $49,000.

That's crazy, search the tri state area for X-3s. Each one in Northern NJ has some inventory still. MSRP on mine was $56K, and I pay $645 a month (15K lease)
