Real Time Traffic
RTT with our navigation saved us a ton of time and aggravation today. Long drive to my daughter's soccer tournament. My wife and I smiled gleefully as we were automatically directed through a reroute avoiding major traffic delays near the Delaware Memorial Bridge.

Worked really well twice for me recently.
The first time I chose to ignore the re-route. The road looked clear ahead. Ended up stuck in traffic for about 45min before I listened and got around the accident. The second time I listened immediately even though the road was clear. As I'm exiting the highway and wrapping around up to the bridge it exits onto, I see the traffic dead stopped a mile ahead. That time it probably saved me half an hour. I've learned that if you look at the ETA and see it increase substantially and then try to reroute, you'd probably best listen. |

My problem with RTT is the reroute is sometime not obvious. Plus once it re-routes, it no longer highlights the traffic warning. Hence I've driven straight into the problem a few times.

Yeah it's saved me quite a few times too. The only time it was annoying was in LA traffic, it was trying to reroute me like every 2 minutes. It's LA traffic, there's no way around it.

Did a 400 mile round trip to Hartlepool today for a football (sorry soccer!) match and had a couple of in route changes, Proved well as people I know from the match got stuck behind on the way back.
