MY13 Production Times

Mine is scheduled to arrive at dealer in couple of days Does it really take 2 days to prep the car?

I guess UK and Oz are the only large rhd markets which likely translates into longer production times. I don't know if rhd and lhd can be built at the same time.

Just got word my X3 35i is at the dealership. Order date of 4/4 and pickup on 4/27. Even my CA was suprised at how quick it was built.....

My wife was just talking to the CA and he reminded her the tag was another $10.

Ordered 3/20, Build completed 4/4, PCD 4/26. All I can say is WOW, what a great experience the PCD is and VERY glad I got the MY13, great vehicle, you won't be disappointed in the least!!

Wow that seems fast! I "sort of" ordered an X3 35i last weekend and was told it would be closer to 2 months. The reason for the "sort of" is that I can only take delivery of it contingent on me getting out of my current lease.

keep in mind that I am in Canada, so the time between production and taking delivery is gonna be another month.

If I am lucky, and the production does complete as what BMW Canada told me.

Race is on 328i scheduled to complete production May 1 (good thing it is North Carolina where they have no concept of May Day). I need to pick up in San Francisco on 5/25 so I can drive it to LA on 5/26. No bets on whether it will make it in time. I understand transport to Oxnard for further prep and dispatch by truck north to SF can be iffy. It could work out or it may arrive mid June.

ken in WC CA with old tired 2001 330ci waiting to go to car knackers......(In Egypt? or the late Johnny Carson show.)

I called BMW Canada, my car is in the paint shop!!! Should be done by the end of the week.
Question for my fellow Canadian (east coast), how long from production completion to the dealer?

I was given a VIN on April 13 and my car is still on 'the slow train north'.

Ya, have to figure at least three weeks (maybe four) 'till delivery.

I don't understand something, I called BMW Canada today and they tell me the car is completed but not shipped yet. I call my CA to have an update (VIN) and he tells me he have no update...

If the car is built there is a VIN.

There are usually a few days delay with respect to communications between the mothership and the dealership.
