How long after delivery does the UK inclusive ConnectedDrive go live?

Emailed by salesman today but no reply

Do I have to type a code in to go live? Do you get the code by email or post?

Don't wait for those muppets Bimmer!! I did mine myself. You can register online here and it takes a couple of days to activate

I did fill out a hand written form at handover!?!

What happens once live? Do they send me a code? Where do I input it?

yep, apparently my dealer filled one in for me too but after nothing happened for over a week, I filled it in online and it was only then that it got activated (filled in on Friday night, activated on Monday morning). They've probably got a pile of activation forms still sitting on someone's desk that they haven't sent

You get an email saying it will be activated in 24 hours and then a text message containing your login details

Will change car in 3 years max so not a worry for me but a good question - whats it worth? (probably not a lot!)

The moral of the story is dont wait for your dealer - they dont care (still no reply from my email either) just ask sfax!
