Front Brake Pad Reset

2011 X3 28i cannot reset brake pad indicator for the front.

Tried 1 new oem 1 aftermarket sensors and both won't allow me to reset.
Also disconnected the battery terminal for 15 minutes and it still says reset is not possible.
Spliced and shorted the old wire and still was unable to reset.

Any ideas at this point?

I thought the front brake pad sensor is only on the driver side. Are there two sets?

Can you clarify which wires you stripped? Are you talking about the sensors?

Hi,
1. If your display saying in sequence: "Reset possible"- "Perform reset"- "Reset in progress" - "Reset unsuccessful", you have problem with sensor (circuit onen)
2. If your display saying "reset not posible", it's not possible by software function.
What I know, there is minimum time or mileage gap since last reset was performed. The same with other service intervals.

It says reset not possible. Does anyone have information on service bulletin 340313 in regards to the CBS system. Does this impact the 2011 x3?

Dealer is unhelpful to let me know if this service bulletin applies to my car. Anyone can help me out?

No. When time comes for the oil change I will ask the dealer to repair this error code. I listed the service bulletin about this issue (in this thread) but can't say for sure that will fix it. I have aftermarket warranty that should pay for the repair but it's not a big deal since I know the front brake pads and rotors are new.
